Testimonials:

“You are an incredible group of gals! What a lovely time you prepared for us, so unselfish of your limited time off.
Just want to thank you all for the hard work and the caring, not just as patients, but also as regular people.
It was nice to see other friends make some new ones, share some experiences and learn new ideas.
The lunch was delicious. Thank you for the yummy goodies.
I never had a pedicure before. I’m so glad you decided to become nurses because you give outstanding foot massage and “the works”.
You are all such a special team to me, as I’m sure you are to everyone who comes for healing. You treat us all as equals in body, mind and spirit. How lucky we are to have you watching over us. You are truly our “Guardian Angels.”
Thank you all again,
Doris

Dear Dr. Govil,

As I move forward to my next phase of treatment, I had to take the time to reflect on the fine care I received these past several months from you and your excellent staff.
The diagnosis of cancer, back in January was the most frightening and emotionally fraught experience of my entire life.
I didn’t take me long to recognize that you and the folks on your team are totally committed to the gentle and compassionate care of all who enter the doors of the New London Cancer Center. For this I am very grateful.
Sincerely,
Mrs. D

This is something, which I have meant to put into writing for a long time. Your office is the only doctor’s office I know of that always has a real person answer the phone on the first ring. At this point, I deal with a number of doctors, as do most of my friends. The real people answering your phone are cheerful (without being artificial), very helpful and efficient. Naturally, I would prefer not to need any doctors or their staff, but it is a pleasure and great relief to always be treated the way your staff treats me. It is comforting to know that no matter what my problem or concern is, someone who really cares will handle it in the best possible way.
Thank you
Sincerely yours,
Mr. R

Dear Doctors, Nurses & Entire Staff,

Words can’t possibly thank all of you enough. It was really hard for us to express in writing how grateful we both are to all of you. What an amazing job you have, being part of helping to save lives. Your team is truly a very special group. You have the amazing ability of combining professionalism with such care, humor and positive attitude. These are such important qualities that have really helped us get through this year.
It is rare when 2 people find their soul mates. Jim and I have been blessed with this gift. Thank you for giving us the chance to grow old together. Love life, love each other and enjoy every day.
Love and Thanks Always,
Jim & Lynn B.

Dear Dr. Lattanzi,

I would like to express my thanks and gratitude for the care and treatment you gave my wife Sally. My wife contracted blood clots in her left leg while driving from Florida to Connecticut. She called her Florida cancer doctor, Dr. Peterson who recommended she have her leg examined for blood clots. She entered the Lawrence & Memorial Hospital, who discovered her condition.

We were on vacation to attend our grandson’s graduation from the Coast Guard Academy and his wedding. Unfortunately she missed the graduation ceremonies, but thanks to your help, she was able to attend the wedding.

We greatly appreciate the professional and accurate diagnosis of my wife’s condition by both you and your staff. We are especially thankful to you and your staff for her blood diagnosis and tests.

We feel we were very fortunate to have found such superb professional assistance while so far from home. Again thank you for your help.
Yours truly,
Joseph C.

Dear Dr. Govil,

I just can’t keep saying how confident I feel with your care.

It’s been almost 7 wonderful, productive and happy years, and I thank you for guiding me through chemotherapy, countless check ups and all the accompanying fear.

I’m grateful you’re in this field and that Dr. Nomizu referred me to you.
A blessed Easter to you and yours,
Patricia

Dear all,

Your kind words to all of us were a great comfort. We did the best we could and we were fortunate to have had Socrates with us as long as we did and we thank you for your help and support. You’re a great team, and we appreciate all that you did.
Sincerely,
Mrs. S

Dear New London Cancer Center,

To all the Staff,

Thank you for being the bright spot in my week during this difficult time in my life.
God Bless you all,
Eric B.

Dear Dr. Govil,

I have learned a lot through my journey. You were not only my doctor, but also my teacher. Thank you for taking care of me. And thank you for teaching me that:
1. It’s all about me
2. I can get through this
3. And have a lovely day.
Love,
Stephanie

Dear Friends in the Oncology Clinic,

I just want you to know how much I value your support and caring. Having cancer is no fun, but with your help, I feel the outcome for me will be positive maybe even enough of a cure to resume normal life.
I love you all,
Marie

Thanks to you, I was able to raise $5,355.00 for Breast Cancer Research. My participation and your support made it possible for me to be involved in the Avon Breast Cancer 3-day walk from Fitchburg, MA to Boston.
As I continue to reflect on this experience, it is easy for me to say that my involvement in this cause has single handedly changed my life.
Thank you for your support and making change happen.

Sincerely,
Joyce

Dear New London Cancer Center,

Some 12 years ago you counseled my husband and myself as he prepared to face death from lung cancer. I was always appreciative, as was he for your forthright approach to the possibilities (or lack there of) to chemotherapy, and your openness about getting a second opinion at Yale. It would not have prolonged his life, so when we opted not to do chemo, you made the choice easy – no guilt laid on. I know many others you have helped, and we all agree that your personal flair for dealing with people makes you all very special indeed.
Thank you,
Sally

To all of you,

I’m giving you this small gift of affection because you are a special part of my life. I don’t know how many patients give you hugs but in case you don’t get many, this is my daily hug for you. Have a happy holiday season. See you in March.
Love,
Martha

Dear Doctors,

I want to thank you all again for all of the devoted care you gave to John. The kindness and friendliness of your staff made his treatments that much easier to bear.
Sincerely and God Bless,
Shirley

Dear New London Cancer Center

I want to thank you for all the help you have given me these past few years. For being so kind and understanding and answering my and Roy’s every last question.

For being so upbeat and wonderful. And recently for finding out about Roy’s lab report so quickly as well as examining him when you heard about our worry.

That certainly was not expected but what a relief. You are simply the best we have ever known.
Fondly,
Connie

Dear Dr. Govil,

I feel very comfortable and thankful under your care as well as friendly ways. You and your staff create a pleasant atmosphere for your patients.
Sincerely,
Ed
